What Market Protection collects, what it does with it, who sees it, and the choices you have.

Market Protection (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates marketprotection.com, a site where people saving for or living in retirement can talk their options through with a licensed insurance agent. This policy covers the website and the communications that follow a submission on it.
Information we collect
What you give us
When you complete our questionnaire we collect what you enter: your age range, approximate retirement savings, where those savings are held, your biggest concern, when you plan to draw on them, the amount you would want protected, ZIP code, name, email address, and mobile phone number. We do not ask for health information, account numbers, a Social Security number, or a date of birth on this site.
What we record automatically
With every submission we record your IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, the date and time, and the exact consent language you agreed to. That is your consent record, and we keep it so we can prove what you agreed to and when.
Cookies, pixels, and advertising
We and the advertising platforms we advertise on (such as Meta) use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to measure how you reached the site and whether an advertisement led to a submission. Where a click identifier or campaign parameter is present in the address that brought you here, we store it with your submission. You can limit cookies in your browser settings and limit ad measurement in the settings of the platform that showed you the advertisement.
How we use it
- To calculate the illustrative figure shown on your results page.
- To have a licensed insurance agent, licensed in your state, contact you to discuss coverage. That may be someone on our team or at a licensed insurance agency we provide your request to.
- To contact you by phone, text, or email as described in the consent you gave, and to keep the record of that consent.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To respond to your requests, resolve complaints, and comply with law.
Who receives your request
We may sell or provide your request to licensed insurance agents and agencies, who may contact you by phone or email about it. What they receive is your name, phone number, email address, state, ZIP code, and the answers you gave in our questionnaire. They may be outside companies that pay us for your request, or our own team and the licensed insurance agency under common ownership with us. Whoever contacts you is licensed in your state.
If you choose to apply for coverage, the information in your application goes to the insurance carrier you apply with. We also use service providers that host our site, deliver our calls, emails, and messages, and measure advertising, under contracts that limit what they may do with your information.
Your consent to receive text messages and your text-messaging opt-in data are not sold to or shared with any third party for their marketing. A licensed agent or agency that receives your request gets your phone number so they can call you; they do not receive your text-message consent, and it does not permit them to text you.
Providing your request to a licensed agentor agency for payment is a “sale” under some state laws, and sharing identifiers with an advertising platform for targeted advertising is a “sale” or “share.” See Do Not Sell or Share My Info for how to opt out of both. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Text messages
Mobile information collected on this site is used to run the Market Protection Alerts text program described in our SMS & Opt-Out Policy: follow-up about the coverage you asked us for, replies to questions you text us, and reminders for appointments you booked with us. You join it only by ticking the text-message box, which always starts unticked, on our SMS opt-in page or in our questionnaire.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold to or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and are disclosed only to the providers that deliver our messages on our behalf, who are bound not to use them for anything else. Texts in this program come only from Market Protection. Your phone number itself is part of your request and goes to the licensed agentor agency that receives it, for calls, as described under “Who receives your request”; your text-messaging opt-in data and consent do not.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts immediately.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask whoever calls to put you on their do-not-call list.
- Email privacy@marketprotection.com to ask which licensed agent or agency received your request, or to opt out of your request being sold.
- Email privacy@marketprotection.com to end all contact, or to access, correct, or delete your information.

State privacy rights
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have specific rights over their personal information. We extend the same rights to everyone. This section is the notice those laws require.

We collect these for the purposes listed under “How we use it” and disclose them to the recipients listed under “Who receives your request.” Identifiers, age range, financial and household information, and approximate location may be sold to licensed insurance agents and agencies as described there. Internet activity and identifiers may be shared with advertising platforms for measurement and targeted advertising, which some laws define as a “sale” or “share.” We do not collect sensitive personal information on this site, we do not use your information for profiling with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your rights
- To know what personal information we hold about you, and to receive a copy of it.
- To correct inaccurate personal information.
- To delete personal information, subject to exceptions such as keeping a consent record the law requires us to retain.
- To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
- To not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise them
Email privacy@marketprotection.comwith the subject “Privacy Request”, or call (352) 269-9258. Tell us which right you are exercising and include the name, email, and phone number you submitted so we can find your record. We verify requests by matching them to that record, and we may ask for more information if they don’t match. You may use an authorised agent; we may ask for proof of the authorisation. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need an extension the law allows. If we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome of the appeal and how to contact your state’s attorney general if you are still not satisfied.
Retention
We keep your submission and consent record for as long as needed to respond to your request and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, including the retention of consent records under telemarketing law, which is at least five years from the last communication. Advertising measurement data is kept in aggregate.
Security
Information submitted through this site travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in systems with access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be notified to the email address you gave us.
