How the Market Protection Alerts text program works, how you join it, and how you leave it.

Program

Market Protection Alerts is the text-message program run by Market Protection. It exists for one purpose: to follow up on a request you made to us on marketprotection.com. We text only people who asked us for information on our own website and ticked the text-message box.

How you opt in

You opt in on our SMS opt-in page. You enter your first name, last name, email, and mobile number, and beside those fields is a separate checkbox for text messages. The checkbox starts unticked and is optional: the form can be sent without it. The same checkbox, with the same words, also appears in the questionnaire on our website. The checkbox reads, in full:

I agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages about insurance coverage from Market Protection at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

This SMS Policy, our Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions are linked beside the checkbox. We store the exact text, the date and time, your IP address, and the page you submitted from as your consent record. Consent to texts is never a condition of purchase. Texts in this program come only from Market Protection; your opt-in is not shared with, sold to, or used by any other company for their marketing.

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 8 messages per month depending on where your request is.

Cost

Msg & data rates may apply. Check your carrier plan for details. We do not charge for texts.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT all work. You will receive one confirmation text and nothing further. You can also stop calls and emails by telling the agent who contacts you, by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to privacy@marketprotection.com. Every method is listed on our Unsubscribe page.

Your number

Your text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold to or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and are disclosed only to the providers that deliver our messages on our behalf. Your phone number is also part of the request you sent us, and a licensed agent or agency that receives your request gets it so they can call you, as our Privacy Policy describes; they do not receive your text-message consent. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on all major U.S. carriers.

Do-Not-Call

Your consent allows contact even if your number is on a national or state Do-Not-Call registry. Revoking consent as described above ends that permission. We keep an internal do-not-contact list and honour it.
