Who Market Protection is, how it is paid, and what the figures on this site do and don't mean.

Who we are
Market Protection is an independent insurance marketing service. We connect retirement savers with licensed agents who compare indexed annuity and indexed life strategies from multiple carriers. We are not an insurer, a broker-dealer, or an investment adviser, and we do not issue contracts.
Market Protection is a trade name of Sakred Business Solutions LLC.
We operate marketprotection.com and the advertising that brings people to it. When you submit our questionnaire, we introduce you to a licensed insurance agent who is appointed with multiple carriers and licensed in the state you live in. That introduction is our whole service.
Not an insurer, and not advice
We are not an insurance company. We do not underwrite, quote, or bind coverage, and no policy or contract is issued by us. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation for your particular situation. Any recommendation you receive comes from the licensed agent you speak with, in that conversation, based on your full circumstances.
How we are compensated
You never pay us. If you decide to move money into a contract and the carrier issues it, the carrier pays the agent or their agency a commission. It's built into the contract's pricing, which is one reason surrender periods exist, and it isn't deducted from your deposit as a separate charge.
We only do well when a contract is still in place years later. Placing someone in the wrong product, or a bigger one than they need, is how this business loses people, so the recommendation is built to hold up over the surrender period, not just on the call.
Licensing and availability
Insurance is regulated state by state. Every agent we connect you with holds the license required to discuss and sell insurance in the state you told us you live in, and your request is routed only to someone licensed there. We do not route requests to unlicensed people, and we do not route requests where we cannot determine the state.
Products described on this site are not available in all states, and availability, features, and pricing vary by state and by carrier. Descriptions on this site are general; the contract or policy issued by the carrier governs.
About the products discussed
Fixed indexed annuities and indexed universal life insurance are insurance contracts issued by licensed carriers. They are not securities, are not bank deposits, and are not insured by the FDIC or any government agency. All guarantees depend on the claims-paying ability of the issuing carrier.
Interest credits are tied to the performance of an index, but your money is not invested in the index. Credits are subject to caps, participation rates, and spreads that the carrier can change within the limits stated in the contract. Surrender charges apply to withdrawals above the free-withdrawal allowance during the surrender period, and withdrawals before age 59½ may be subject to a 10% federal tax penalty in addition to ordinary income tax. Optional riders carry fees that reduce the contract value.
About the figure on our site
The protected amount shown at the end of the questionnaire is the share of the savings you entered that you said you would want shielded. It is an arithmetic starting point for a conversation, not a suitability determination, a quote, an illustration, or an offer. Any index history shown on this site is for illustration only and does not predict future results.
Statistics and market history
Figures on our home page are drawn from the sources listed at the bottom of that page. Market history is shown for illustration, uses price returns unless stated otherwise, and does not predict future results.
Who receives your request
Your request goes to a licensed insurance agency we work with and its appointed agents; to an insurance carrier if you choose to apply; and to the service providers that host this site, deliver messages, and measure advertising. A current list of the agencies we route requests to is available on request at privacy@marketprotection.com. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Advertising
We advertise on social platforms and search engines. Our advertisements identify Market Protection as the advertiser. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, employer, lender, or insurance carrier, and no advertisement of ours should be read as suggesting otherwise.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how you were contacted, or believe you were contacted without consent, email privacy@marketprotection.comwith the number that contacted you and the date.
